The BCP is a treasury of devotional and teaching resources for individuals and congregations and the primary symbol of our unity.
While we will always be a questioning and seeking people, the creeds affirm the faith tradition of the Church and unite us with Christians throughout the ages with a foundational statement.
The Baptismal Covenant is a question-and-answer version of the Apostles’ Creed with the addition of five questions regarding how we, as Christians, are called to live out our faith.
Holy Communion (the Eucharist) is the communal ritual meal for Christians and is a foretaste of the heavenly banquet.
In the waters of baptism we are lovingly adopted by God into God’s family, which we call the Church, and given God’s own life to share and reminded that nothing can separate us from God’s love in Christ.
Besides Baptism and Eucharist, the Church recognizes other spiritual markers in our journey of faith, including Confirmation, Reconciliation of a Penitent (Confession), Matrimony, Holy Orders (Deason, Priest, Bishop), and Unction (Anointing of the Sick).
